Overview

DE Dictionary is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost none) and how we handle it.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from DE Dictionary users.

The app:

  • Does not require user accounts
  • Does not collect names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Does not access your photos, location, contacts, or other personal data
  • Does not store any user-generated content
  • Works entirely offline with locally stored reference data

Analytics and Crash Reporting

DE Dictionary uses two privacy-focused services to help us improve the app:

TelemetryDeck (Analytics)

We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage statistics. This helps us understand how the app is used and identify areas for improvement.

What TelemetryDeck collects:

  • Anonymous app usage metrics (e.g., which features are used, app crashes)
  • Device type and operating system version
  • General app performance data

What TelemetryDeck does NOT collect:

  • Personally identifiable information
  • IP addresses
  • Search queries or any content you view in the app
  • Location data

Sentry (Crash Reporting)

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error data so we can fix bugs and improve app stability.

What Sentry collects:

  • Crash logs and stack traces
  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version information
  • Error messages and diagnostic data

What Sentry does NOT collect:

  • Personally identifiable information
  • IP addresses (this is explicitly disabled in our configuration)
  • Search queries or any content you view in the app
  • Location data

Data Storage

All DIS enumeration reference data is stored locally on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers during normal app operation.

Third-Party Services

Other than TelemetryDeck for analytics and Sentry for crash reporting, DE Dictionary does not integrate with any third-party services or share data with external parties.

Children's Privacy

DE Dictionary does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for professional use by defense simulation engineers and technical staff.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
